Unpaid claims are approved claims that are waiting to be reimbursed by your employer.
Amounts will show as unpaid claims for two reasons:
- Your employer simply hasn’t recorded reimbursements yet. These unpaid claims amounts will be reimbursed to you, up to the amount of your balance. In this case, your “unpaid claims” amount and “reimbursements due” amount will be the same.
- If the amount of your approved claims exceeds your available balance, then the claim amounts above your available balance will remain as “unpaid claims” until you have available balance to cover the expense (for example, when your next allowance is made available). Once you have available funds, these unpaid claims will show as reimbursable.
